Job Description
The HR Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by handling administrative tasks and assisting with various HR functions. Assist with day-to-day HR operations and administrative duties. Maintain and update employee records, both in hard and soft copies. Purge old employee records such as payroll files and I9s. Maintain safety meeting notes. Coordinate on-boarding documentation for new hires. Process documentation related to personnel activities, such as performance evaluations, grievances, and payroll. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws.
Skills Required
1+ yr of HR exp. Knowledge of payroll audits, benefits administration, PTO and safety procedures. Exp with data entry, filing, scanning. Proficient in MS Excel. Bilingual in Spanish.
Skills Preferred
Experience maintaining safety meeting documentation a plus. Mac and Google Docs experience a plus.
