Job Description 211 is available 247 to meet health and human service needs, through information and referral, benefits navigation, disaster response, and other special projects that provide direct assistance. The 211 Contact Specialist will deliver high quality, professional information and referral services to contacts and members of the community. Help each contact identify their health and human service needs and provide them the appropriate referral or resource. Input thorough documentation of each contact in appropriate database. Use multiple programs and databases for resource searches, information collection and application assistance. Active participant in keeping resource database updated with accurate information about community resources. Work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Extended hours as needed in times of disaster in any county served. The nature of calls vary so must be comfortable assisting members of the community with very sensitive situations. Training will be done on-site at the Camarillo office for one month, after which you will be required to work on-site 2 days a week. Flexibility of in office days will be considered if notified ahead of time. Position also requires availability on 1 weekend day each week of your choice. You will then have one week day off so your schedule will remain 40 hoursweek. Shifts available are 1100am-730pm, 1130pm-800pm, 1200pm-830pm, 1230pm-900pm. | |
Skills Required HS Diploma or GED. Bilingual in Spanish. 2+ yrs of customer service or call center exp. Strong communication skills. Comfortable handling sensitive calls. | |
