HR Generalist Needed in Agoura Hills
Job Description
The HR GeneralistPayroll will focus primarily on payroll but will also provide support in the areas of leave of absence, health insurance benefits, 401k, workers compensation, and governmental reportingcompliance. Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring all employees receive their wages and benefits in a timely manner. Verify and reconcile timekeeping data, deductions, and changes to ensure accurate calculations. Advise staff of payroll deadlines and processes, communicating with employees and supervisor to ensure accurate time tracking. Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally. Process wage garnishments as required by courtgovernment order. Maintain payroll worksheets and census spreadsheets. Process employee change forms updating as approved in HRIS. Complete payroll related journal entries and submit to accounting. Assist in year-end audits for Workers Comp, EEO-1, EEO, CA Pay Data, Ohio True Up, or any other audits that arise throughout the year. ADP new hire training. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws. Assist in preparing and filing payroll-related reports as required by government agencies. Order annual employment posters, update posters due to mid-year changes, and maintain e-posters for remote employees. Assist with questions and tracking regarding Leave of Absence. Aid employees with benefits questions and open enrollment. Help with 401k enrollments, loans, and other transactions. Process employee terminations and ensure final pay and benefits are accurately calculated and processed. Prepare exit letters and any required documents and send to terminating employees as advised. Process SDI, UI, and PDL claims. Complete employment verifications as requested and process NYSIF documents on an annual basis. Process Registered Agent renewals and Annual Renewal Business applications. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and
Skills Required
BA Degree in HR or Business. 3+ yrs of HR exp including payroll processing. Knowledge of payroll processing systems, HRIS and timekeeping software.
Skills Preferred
Active HR Certification acceptable in place of Degree. Exp with multi-state payroll processing. Familiar with employee benefits, LOA, retirement plans and compliance.
