Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator who will identify and implement opportunities for improvement in payroll administration. This individual will serve as a resource to both managers and employees by providing policy and procedure interpretation. Mitigates organizational risk by ensuring compliance with all wage and hour laws as well as federal and state tax compliance. Support HR Senior Generalist in the administration and oversight of wage and salary programs to include hourly andor merit planning, job descriptions, performance reviews and organization charts. Maintain Human Resources Payroll records and conduct self-audit reports to help assure data integrity. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning payroll. Administer international payroll support for offices in Canada and Mexico as well as act as liaison with China General Manager for payroll related issues. Support shared services in the administration of payroll functions and partner with supervisory staff to ensure time keeping accuracy. Assist in the development of new policies and revise existing policies to help ensure compliance as required. Process all payroll changes, review time-cards, update attendance records, input pay data, transmit payroll to payroll provider in a timely manner, reconcile output reports, distribute checks, and prepare manual checks if needed. Respond to written employment verifications reply and process all wage garnishment requests, and make payment as required. Coordinate the year-end payroll process, review W-2s and final reports. Process all new hires and terminations. Ensure all necessary forms are completed. Run all new-hires through the INS E-Verify program. Report new insurance enrollee, qualifying event, COBRA enrollee, and any COBRA related issue to appropriate COBRA administrator within the necessary time-frame, as well as review the monthly outputs for accuracy.
Skills Required
5+ years of experience in Payroll, preferably in a manufacturing. Excellent computer skills in MS Office and Google suites. Current knowledge of relevant wage and hour laws. Bilingual in Spanish.
Skills Preferred
AS in Business or equivalent preferred. Paylocity software experience a plus.
