Job Description
Under general supervision, is responsible for administration and performance of production control activities. General duties within the department include Administration of company policies employee training quality and continuous improvement of departmental operations and processes establishing departmental objectives and plans in accordance with company goals and implementation of departmental plans. This position will be responsible for overseeing and supporting Master Production Scheduling. Manage all supply chain operations, either directly or through subordinates, for the purpose of meeting company production, delivery, quality, cost and safety objectives Meets all production, delivery, quality and cost objectives Responsible for planning, coordination, direction and maintaining all activities involving the scheduling, release, and shipping of production orders Oversees the purchasing of raw materials and purchased parts Maintains a cost effective inventory control system Participates with the Sales Department in the development and maintenance of customer based product forecasts Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the companys policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems Adjusts work schedules as necessary to meet special order requirements. Assesses production data daily to pinpoint trouble areas and suggests improvements, as necessary a good understanding and working knowledge of Master Scheduling is critical for the success in this role Interfacing with customers and vendors as necessary Serves as member of Companys Safety Committee Plan and administer procedures and work instructions for all primary activities within department in accordance with companys ISO 9001 Quality Management System Perform tasks equal to or exceeding standards Accomplishes
Skills Required
BA Degree in Business Admin or similar. 6+ yrs production, material and planning exp. 2 yrs of supervisory exp. Must be ITAR compliant. Knowledge of production control department operations.
Skills Preferred
APICSCPIM certification.
