Job Description
The construction accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Prepare and post journal entries. General ledger operations. Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements. Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts and income statement accounts. Assist with year-end closings. Administer accounts receivableprepare and post depositscash receipts, misc. billing. Responsible for all corporate accounts payable. Review and post payroll journal entries. Prepare bank transferscash management. Assist in preparing overhead budgets and forecasts. Monitor and resolve bank issues. Accountbank reconciliations. Review and process expense reports. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Skills Required
Accounting or Finance Degree. Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and financial reporting. 2+ yrs exp in general accounting. Proficient in Accounting Software.
