| Job Description This position is primarily responsible for fabricating and assembling various plastic bottles, carboys, tanks, tubing and other products and component fittings to a finished product. Welding, bonding, bending and cutting are required and performed to customer specifications in accordance with company standards. Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Develops layout and plans sequence of operation. Ability to read calipers, tape measures and rulers. Positions parts in jigs or fixtures or clamps parts along layout marks on work table. Selects, marks, cuts or bends material as appropriate andor per work order instructions. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as hot air welder, mill, drill press, saws, flange forming machines, tubing benders, ultraviolet curing machine and lathe. Assembles, constructs, bond andor weld components per work order. Record lot numbers per productmaterial. Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications. Cleans finished product with appropriate chemical or other cleaning agent as instructed. Use non-linting or clean room wipes during cleaning. Test finished products by electrical leak tester, pressure, vacuum or any combination required by type of material andor product, record data results. Clean and maintain all equipment and tools. | |
| Skills Required HS Diploma or GED. 2-4 yrs of experience in assembly, production or fabrication. Able to read and understand drawings, ability to write legibly, good basic math skills. Must be able to read a ruler and accurately measure. | |
| Skills Preferred Technical schooling in machining or welding a plus. | |
