Job Description
We are looking for a candidate who can collaborate well with a small team to develop unmanned aircraft products for military and commercial applications. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, fun, and rewarding. There is a good variety of projects and challenges and exposure to multiple disciplines, including aerospace, mechanical, electrical, and software. Design and develop guidance, navigation, and flight control algorithms for unmanned fixed-wing and VTOL aircraft. Write, test, and document CC++ autopilot software code. Verify control law performance and troubleshoot flight control issues using 6-DOF analysis tools, HIL simulation, and flight test data. Analyze customer supplied flight data to figure out what went wrong, and work out how to make it better. Generate shop and flight test plans to explore or validate vehicle behavior. Participate in flight test activities. Analyze flight logs to help determine the root cause of issues. Perform simulations to answer what-if questions. Skills Required
BA Degree in Aerospace Eng. 5 yrs of exp developing flight control software for fixed-wing aircraft. Understanding of aircraft dynamics, control and navigation theory. Proficiency in CC++, MATLab and other model based tool-sets.
Skills Preferred
Exp with embedded system development and signal processing. Exp designing and implementing software for embedded real-time control systems for unmanned aircraft or robotics.
