Job Description
Seeking a Contracts Director who possesses a deep knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, and commercial contracting principles. This individual will lead and manage all Contracts Administration-related activities through all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including supporting pricing and proposals, negotiations, maintenance, and closeouts. Further, youll be looked upon to lead the necessary oversight and guidance on proposals and other key contractual negotiations while also ensure company compliance with federal and commercial regulations. You must also possess significant knowledge and experience in or familiarity with ITAR and export licensing laws and regulations. Serve as principal advisor on contract-related matters to the company and executive management teams. Significant experience and expertise in contracting either directly with the U.S. government acquisition organizations or as a supplier to the major prime contractors, including a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement DFARS, Defense Priorities and Allocations System DPAS, Cost Accounting Standards CAS and Export Regulations, as well as various U.S. government contract types. Supervise, direct, and manage all Contracts Administration-related activities through all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including supporting pricing and proposals, negotiations, maintenance, and closeouts. Provide the oversight and evaluation of major proposals, monitoring major contracts, lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures as well as government and contract requirements. Responsible for review of proposals for compliance with Government regulations and company best practices. Skills Required
MA Degree in Law or MBA. 8 yrs of cradle to grave administration with both govt and commercial client contracts. Exp in govt or aerospace industry. Knowledge of FAR and DFAR. Knowledge of government and commercial contract types, terms, and processes.
Skills Preferred
Experience in unmanned systems technology is preferred. Experience in the defense industry and government contracting environment is preferred. NCMA CFCM, CCCM, or CPCM. Direct supervisory experience of a team of 3 or more is preferred.
