Job Description
Responsible for the day to day accounting operations, production of financial reports and maintaining strong accounting systems and procedures. Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the companys reported financial results. This position will be a part of strategic financial planning and assist in overseeing financial operations and systems of the entire company. Oversee the activities of our commercial, residential, and corporate accounting team for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Oversee accurate and timely processing of accounts payable. Oversee accurate and timely recording of cash receipts to ensure correctness and timely management of accounts receivable.Prepare monthly or quarterly financial statements including coordination of annual compliance work.Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all accounting systems, processes, and data.Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.Participate in a variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Enhance, develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the accounting department by way of systems that improve accounting operations.Report regularly regarding all financial and operational conditions.This position has overall supervisory responsibility for accounting department team members.Coordinate and oversee all internal and external audits.Prepare monthly financial reports, general ledger reconciliations, and analytical reports. Manage cash flow, oversee cash flow forecasting and revenue projections. Hire, train and evaluate accounting team members to ensure they have the tools and resources to function at a high level of excellence. Assist the CFO on special projects. Skills Required
Bachelors in Accounting. 8+ yrs operational exp 5+ yrs supervisory. Experience in financial planning, analysis, organizational development, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
Skills Preferred
Public accountingaudit experience desired.Experience within property management accounting industry preferred. Experience with Yardi and SAGE software a highly desired.
