| Job Description Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products by performing the following duties. Sets up and releases Manufacturing Orders for components and assemblies utilizing planning documentation such as Material Requirements Planning MRP reports. Prepares and distributes Assembly Line schedules. Initiates and monitors kitparts releases to Production per schedule without shortages. Assists Purchasing in expediting critical parts from vendors. Coordinates with Production to ensure timely job starts. Reviews and recommends engineering changes to manufacturing orders. Supports Production with necessary documentation, engineering coordination, part requirements, and quality control issues. Monitors order progress through production processes, communicates delays and problems to supervision addresses problems before they impact the schedule in order to aviod surprises. Expedites to ensure order due dates are met. Communicates with internal customers and departments to coordinate order status and priorities. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Prepares production reports. | |
| Skills Required AA Degree. 2 yrs of production and inventory control experience with 1 yr of planning exp. Basic understanding of MRP, computerized inventory and order processing. QAD or other ERP system exp. Exp working with TEAMS. Excel skills. | |
| Skills Preferred Completion of one or more Production and Inventory Control classes and continued interest in attaining APICS certification, preferred. Oracle exp a plus. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. | |
