Seeking a highly talented individual to support the Human Resources Department. The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department including recruitment, employee database, payroll functions, employee training, employee relations, and assistance in benefits administration. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and training. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records. Provides clerical support to the HR department. May assist with payroll functions including timecard processing, timecard managing, and answering employee questions. Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, and holiday parties. Attends job fairs helps run company booth at job fairs. Performs other duties as assigned.
HS Diploma or GED. Bilingual in EnglishSpanish. HR administrative exp. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws. Proficient in MS Office.
Human Resources Certification. Office experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
