Job Description
Seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the organizations financial accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for period-end close, reporting with GAAP and IFRS, payroll, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, implementation of internal control policies and procedures, and working with public accounting firms for audit, tax compliance and other accounting services. Additionally, the position will require an understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR, government Cost Accounting Standards CAS, DCMADCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and other aspects of accounting for government or defense contracts. The Corporate Controller will help recruit and supervise members of the finance and accounting staff, with responsibility for interviewing, hiring and training new employees, planning and assigning work, performance appraisal, and rewarding and disciplining employees. This is a position that will work closely with executive management, and provide support to engineering and manufacturing operations, program management teams, and other business partners and stakeholders.Administer ERPMRP technology platforms for general ledger and cost accounting, employee timekeeping, payroll, supply chain management, inventory management, customer relationship management and human capital managementMaintain accurate and timely month-end and annual close proceduresDevelop and maintain accounting procedures, controls, and process memos, with regular review and recommendation of improvements for accounting processes and closing proceduresPreparation, reporting and analysis of financial statements and key financial metricsEnsure timely and accurate billings and collections, and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payrollSupervise the accounting team and provide support to other departments such as contracts, finance, human resource, and engineering and manufacturing operationsMaintain complia
Skills Required
Bachelors. 10+ years of experience in an accounting leadership position with 5+ years of experience as a corporate controller, division controller, or assistant controller of a firm or division with annual revenues in excess of 100 million. MS Mechanics
Skills Preferred
Masters degree preferred.CPA inactive okay, with prior experience at a large public accounting firm in audit or transaction advisory services, preferably with experience in aerospace, defense and government contracting.Microsoft Dynamics 365 pref.
