Job Description
Will support Manufacturing, Engineering and Production by maintaining, repairing, modifying, and customizing production equipment and facilities to support the needs of the operation as well as engineering projects. This job includes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting on existing industrial machines, equipment, and general plant facilities, while being able to design, build and deploy additions to electrical, electronic, or mechanical functionality of these machines.Coordinate with internal engineering and production teams as well as with outside suppliers through effective communication.Create and implement process and equipment modifications with minimal direction from Manufacturing Engineering.Design and implement own ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.Assistant in acquisition of new equipment for business development and growth opportunities.Work closely with production and engineering staff on new equipment installations and controls modifications. Perform routine maintenance and repair on factory equipment including stamping presses, machine tools, cleaning equipment, etc. within the operation. Strong troubleshooting skills required. Develop new electrical controls and associated hardware to enhance the functionality of equipment i.e., add sensors and additional control to an automation machine.Create and maintain an inventory control system for spare parts of equipment.Ensure all safety compliance requirements are met and maintained i.e. Lockout Tagout, Chemical labeling GHS, MSD sheets, Forklift Safety. Ensure Preventative Facility Maintenance program is current. Assist in coordination of outside contractors for facilities maintenance.
Skills Required
Exp working on production equipment, electronic troubleshoot with PLCs and process controllers. Automated systems, robotic handlers and cleaning lines. Electrical wiring and controls, punch press operations, knowledge of safety, imporve costs.
Skills Preferred
High school diploma OR GED OR Technical diploma with more than 10 years of experience, a minimum of three of which were focused on equipment electrical and electronic controls.
