Job Description
As the Controller you will be responsible for the general and cost accounting functions, including the preparation of financial statement and for ensuring regulatory compliance related to taxation, payroll and employee benefits. The controller is responsible for administration and performance of the accounting activities quality and continuous improvement of departmental operation and processes stablishing departmental objectives and plan in accordance with company goals and implementation of departmental plans. Responsible for managing company-wide signature approval process and assignment of levels of authority. Manage all accounting operations, either directly or through subordinates, for the purpose of meeting company production, delivery, quality, cost, and safety objectives. Develop, implement and maintain appropriate financial and administrative systems and processes in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cost accounting, and inventory valuation. Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports involving multiple entities. Prepare and analyze quarterly financial statements including product line sub-statements. Prepare and analyze monthly closing statement. Prepare management information reports. Ability to supervise product costing from development to marketplace delivery. Expertise with machine shop and electro-mechanical assembly operations. Ability to set and measure inventory standard costs - material, labor and overhead. Familiarity with Bills of Materials and Bills of Operations travelers. Complete bi-weekly payroll execution and quarterly and annual reporting W2s 1099s. Coordination of annual 3rd party 401K audit. Ability to perform bank reconciliations and consolidation of daily cash balances. Familiarity with investments and ability to keep historical records. Skills Required
BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. 6+ yrs of extensive accounting background. 2 yrs of supervisory exp. Knowledge of Bill of Materials BOMs. Advanced Excel skills.
Skills Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
