Job Description
Directs or coordinates production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service or safety. Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organizations supply chain. Direct materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution. Manage the movement, storage, or processing of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activities. Develop and implement schedules and procedures. Allocate resources to meet targets in areas such as transit and delivery times inventory levels purchasing, warehousing and storage costs. Ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business working with functional and operations area managers. Lead, direct, evaluate and develop staff to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business. Responsible for inventory control program and process flow covering the end-to-end supply chain solution. Support optimization warehouse functions. Actively involved in data capturing and audit programs, physical inventory, cycle counting, delivery and non-conformance material flow process. Develop maintain plant capacity ensure customers requirements can be met. Prepare rolling capacity demand summaries to ensure operational efficiency is capable of meeting requirements. Maintain department KPIs strategic action planning. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining improvement to increases effectiveness reduce cost. Maintain ERP production orders and MRP settings to ensure material planners are releasing the correct material inventory is minimized. Drive supply chain initiatives between sales and operations.
Skills Required
AA Degree. 5 yrs of supply chain exp within a manufacturing facility. Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes. Able to train and mentor employees. Proficient in SAP and ERP systems.
Skills Preferred
BA Degree in Integrated Supply Chain Management or similar. Exp in a manufacturing company handling hazardous waste preferred. Exp with raw materials planning production scheduling processes. 3 yrs of exp in an HSE role.
