Job Description
Directs the human resources functions including organizational planning and development professional development employment and employee relations compensation and benefits workers compensation, safety and training. Advises management on labor and other legal issues relative to employment. Participates as a member of the executive management team in the development and implementation of organization-wide policies, practices and programs that contribute to its overall success. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and agency employment laws, regulations, and polices. Develops and directs Human Resources policies and objectives for the entire agency. Maintains positive work relationships. Employs person centered thinking and practices in all facets of employee relations. Communicates and deals effectively with all stakeholders. Represents company in various community and outreach settings. Conducts and maintains the confidentiality of personnel investigations, consults with the agency retained employment and labor law attorney, reports findings and makes recommendations regarding personnel issues to Chief Executive Officer. Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promotes a high level of employee morale. Works with benefit the management company to provide a comprehensive benefit package to all eligible employees. Directs the implementation of annual employee benefit meetings. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function e.g., OSHA, EEO, TEFRA, ERISA, Wage Hour. Monitors exposure of the agency. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves all information submitted. Acts as primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies. Skills Required
BA Degree. 3 yrs of recent exp in human resources. Knowledge of labor and employment laws and workers compensation and safety laws. Supervisory exp. Proficient in MS Office.
Skills Preferred
Experience or certification may be substituted for degree.
