| Job Description As a Senior Accountant you are responsible for assisting in the administration and performance of accounting activities in a manufacturing environment, including the facilitation of continual improvement of cost accounting systems and contributing to the maintenance of the general ledger and payroll system. Other duties involve assistance in the supervision of accounting department personnel and participating in the preparation of periodic financial reports. Assist in the supervision of accounting department personnel 3. Analyze and ensure the accuracy of transactions affecting the general ledger in a manufacturing environment. Reconcile inventories held in-house and on consignment to others. Validate the accuracy of Bills of Materials. Reconcile applied labor and overhead with payroll expense. Ensure accuracy of standard costs. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and annual account analyses and reconciliations. Prepare bank account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries and facilitate monthly closing process. Participate in the preparation of periodic financial statements and related schedules. Maintain fixed assets and appropriations schedules and ensure agreement with the General Ledger. Prepare U.S. Customs reconciliations for items transferred to and from a maquiladora. Supervise and ensure the maintenance of ADP payroll. Assist in the reconciliation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, including forms W-2 and 1099. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and bookings reports. Prepare business tax and sales tax reports for filing with government agencies.Company is relocating to Phoenix, AZ in 12-18 months and there is an opportunity to transfer with them if interested. | |
| Skills Required BA Degree in Accounting. 5-10 yrs of accounting exp. 3-5 yrs exp in a supervisory role. Exp in full charge accounting, GL, month end closing, cost accounting and ADP payroll. Knowledge of Bill of Materials BOMs. Advanced Excel skills. | |
