Job Description
Reporting to the President and the Chief Financial Officer, the hands-on Controller will be responsible for overseeing all Accounting functions to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory Cycle Counts, Fixed Assets, Multistate Payroll, Multistate Sales and Use Tax, BudgetingForecasting, Intercompany Transactions, CashTreasury Management, and External Audits. Ensures compliance with GAAP and all state and federal regulations for multi-entity privately held organization with 150+ employees in 4 facilities throughout the U.S. Ideal candidate must be a technically savvy, hands on Controller who thrives in a fast paced, high growth, constantly changing entrepreneurial environment. Must be able to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities while empowering team members to improve efficiency.Responsibilities Lead, mentor and train accounting staff to include, 4 at corporate headquarters, as well as 4 off-site division bookkeepersoffice managers and finance manager for international joint ventureOversee month-end close to ensure all activities are completed various division financials are closed and final financial reports prepared and submitted to the CFO by the 10th of the month ensure accounting team is on track with all dailyweeklymonthly activities to ensure a timely month end closeApply advanced accounting skills in handling routine and non-routine accounting transactions for multiple legal entities, with various levels of complexity involving credit facilities and recent acquisitions train accounting staff on related journal entries and GAAP pronouncements to ensure appropriate knowledge transferOversee all intercompany transactions and reconciliations for multiple entities and ensure all are reconciled daily and monthlyAssist CFO with all acquisition related activities from IOI through implementation. including due diligence requests, setting up new ERPAccounting systems consistent with company infrastructure and all other ac
Skills Required
5 years exp working in an organization with a minimum of 50M in annual revenue with international subsidiaries, headcount of at least 150, at least 5 direct reports and is very hands on. Tech savvy a must. Exp with multiple legal entities required.
