Job Description
This position is remote, however we are only considering applicants residing in the state of California at this time. This position requires the ability to travel within the San Fernando Valley area. Cooperating with other members of the staff in planning and use of instructional materials and in the performance of their duties. Maintain open, communication with team members and center staff to ensure cooperative sharing of center space and resolution of concerns. 10Assisting with planning weekly home visits, and attending two monthly socialization groups including preparation and clean up of mealssnacks and toy sanitation. 10Conducting parent interviews, family needs assessments and developmental screening and assessments. 10Providing families with developmentally appropriate activities and information designed to enhance the childs intellectual, social-emotional, motor, and language abilities and guidance on home safety, nutrition, effective discipline, constructive play activities, and other related topics. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, effective teaching strategies, regulations, licensing, DCFS and diversity application. 25Providing information on community and agency services and referring families to community resources to include medical and mental health providers and the interagency network for other services as needed. Obtain copies of well-child care visits and IFSPsIFSP updates for children with developmental disabilities. 10Work with families and Head Start service areas and other providers to develop a comprehensive view of child and family issues select realistic goals for the family service plan an empower families in problem solving by developing a Family Partnership Agreement based on identified strengths and needs. 10Responsible for case management of 10 to 12 families. Skills Required
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development. Related work experience in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Home Visiting, and Head Start settings. Current CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Dvmt Teacher permit.
Skills Preferred
Hold a valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR or able to obtain certificate within 30 days of hire. Ability to converse, write andor translate in English and Spanish
