| Job Description This successful candidate for this position will begin as a buyer while familiarizing themselves to products and procedures. During the course of the buying responsibility, the incumbent will also be trained to eventually function as a Planner. As a buyer, the successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. As planner, the successful candidate will also be responsible for providing Planning, Production and Material Control functions and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed for quality and accuracy in support of production planning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Buying Performs all procurement functions including purchasing, interface with accounts payable, costing, planning, materials management, importexport management and coordination with shippingreceiving Handles procurement categories such as office supplies, facility and medical supplies and hazardous chemicalsgases Manages invoices for accounts payable and rectifies for discrepanciesTracks open Purchase Orders to ensure on-time delivery and expedites as necessaryManages credit invoices for return and rejected materials, sends out for calibration and plansensures their returnCoordinate with planning to plan and procure standard product material by history, forecast and safety stockMaintains inventory levels for facilityManages import and export functions for procurement Manages ITAR procurement by sending forms to ITAR-approved suppliers and maintaining ITAR documentation returnedProvides reporting to reflect expense usage, shipments, quarterly cost savings, , gas and chemical usage and government ordersWork closely with engineering and quality departments to develop new suppliersPerform remote and on-site assessments of suppliersWork with suppliers to increase performance wi | |
| Skills Required HS plus 3 years of experience in inventory or production control, in ISO9001 or AS9100 qualified high-tech manufacturing. Exp with inventory control database, ERP andor MES solutions. Experience leading process improvement efforts within Supply Chain. | |
