Job Description
Deliver high quality, professional information and referral services to callers and actively support department functionsAssess caller needs, search online database for organizations that are capable of meeting those needs, provide caller with referrals to multiple organizations and thoroughly document each call. Other duties as assignedWork varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as neededDUTIESProvide high quality, multidimensional information and referral services to callers from multiple countiesHelp each caller identify their health and human service needs.Thorough documentation of each call in call handling databaseActive participant in keeping resource database updated with accurate information about community resourcesActively support Call Center team and management in maintaining and developing servicesReport technical or programmatic issues as neededAttend training sessions and staff meetings as neededWork varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as neededExtended hours as needed in times of disaster in any county servedEffective, accurate written and verbal communication requiredExcellent customer service skills required, particular in relation to phone-based servicesFamiliarity with social service delivery systems strongly preferred.Must work well in a team environmentMust have strong skills in use of computer and telephone communication and documentationMust show personal initiative for following guidelines and directions
Skills Required
Bilingual in Spanish. Call center, customer service not retail experience. Must have computer that is able to support various programs and systems. Will need a headset w microphone to take calls.
Skills Preferred
Prior exp in social or health related services a plus.1-2 years experience in call center preferred
