Job Description
Communicate with overseas suppliers in Asia regarding sample requests and product issues. Collect and send samples of products to suppliers for evaluation. Follow up with vendors on purchase orders and expedite shipments as necessary. Post invoices, credit memos and inventory adjustments. Post incoming product receipts into inventory. Process pro-forma invoices for payment. Collect and provide information to our third-party freight forwarders as needed. Resolve shortages, overages and pricing issues. Keep vendor shipment paperwork organized and filed. Track shipments and update information in the ERP system as needed. Support Purchasing Department and Buyers with any additional clerical needs. E-mail purchase orders to vendors.
Skills Required
Strong and accurate data entry skills. Dependable. Excellent communication skills. Problem solver that can work independently. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Skills Preferred
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus. Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus. Experience working with an ERP or MRP system desired. Prior experience in a purchasing role desired.
