|Grant Manager position needed immediately|
This position reports to the Chief Program Officer and participates as part of the Program Operations Team. Will assists to identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development, writing, and submission of grant applications and reports to foundations, public entities, private and corporations and other funding sources. Core responsibilities include preparation of applications, grant allocations, administrative work of researching, identifying, responding, and tracking public and private grant opportunities, and other responsibilities as assigned by the CPO. DUTIES1. Maintain proficient knowledge of organizations history and programs 2. Stay abreast of best practices in service delivery, pertinent research, and new and innovative program approaches 3. Research and identify funding opportunities based on funding needed, location, and projectprogram4. Participate in interdepartmental meetings to identify and prioritize project needs coordinate and research grant preparation assignments.5. Assist in the execution and tracking of department development and fundraising strategies 6. Prioritize grants to apply for based on size of grant and time funding is released7. Organize and maintain an annual plancalendar for proposals and report deadlines from foundations, corporations and public funding entities to ensure coordination of funding for privately funded programs, general operating support and new initiatives.8. Work with evaluation team to generate data for grant application and grant reporting 9. Write, edit and proofread proposals, and reports to foundation, corporate and government funders 10. Conduct research and generate letters of inquiry to prospective funding entities.11. Work in collaboration with CPO, CFO and Directors to collect data needed for grant applicationsreports.12. Bachelors degree required with minimum of two years of direct experience researching and writing foundation, corporate and public funding proposals and reports in a non-profit environment. Experience with grant preparation. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of Ventura County sources for data collection is preferable
