Job Description
Testing standard products, custom, and space flight detectors while providing technical assistance to staff and reviews test data for accurate reporting records.Test In-process and final standard, custom, and space flight IRNir DetectorsTest and debug analog and digital optoelectronic circuitsTest voltage amplifier, a trans-impedance amplifier, and JFET, transistor components, etc.Create and set simple test programs Working understanding of voltage gain amplifiers and transimpedance amplifiersWrite and record test documentation using Microsoft Word Record and analyze test data using Microsoft ExcelAssemble and validate test fixtures, test dewars, and testing electronics for detector testingTroubleshoot and resolve test issues or problems caused by detectors or test fixtures and or test equipmentWorkcoordinate with other departments acquiring parts or product to complete necessary workAssist other test technicians with troubleshootingresolving test problemsMaintain test equipment and test stationsQualifications and competenciesWorking knowledge and basic understanding of how semiconductors workBasic infrared detector knowledgeBasic op-amp theory Basic electrical knowledgeExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skillsBasic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPointMulti-tasking, Working on a team, Strong communication skills and Attention to detailDisplays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practicesHighly proficient in soldering electronic circuits and assembling electronic systems i.e., wire harnesses, test fixtures, amplifier boxes, etc.Knowledgeable in electronics design and experienced with testing and debugging electronic andor opto-electronic circuitsCapable of drawing and reading electronic schematics and designsFamiliar with use of power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, spectrum analyzer, frequency generators, LCR meters, parameter analyzers, thermal chambers,
Skills Required
Associates degree 7-10 years of experience working with semiconductors, infrared detectors. soldering electronics circuits and assembling electronic systems i.e., wire harnesses, test fixtures, amplifier boxes, etc.
Skills Preferred
Familiar with computer programming and creating simple test programs a plus
