Machine start up, maintenance, process improvement, and building knowledge by learning from senior engineers and mechanics. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications troubleshooting malfunctions.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation listening for problems. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straight edges, and other tools as needed.Controls downtime by informing productions workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques, machine modifications, machine adjustments, setup issues, or any other circumstances which would cause downtime and or production loss.Maintains equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies completing requisitions and turning forms into management for order placement.Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing technical publications establishing personal networks.Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication, Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.Must be able to work in a team environment.Must be able to pay close attention to details.Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
HSGED. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mechanical field required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat required.
