Job Description
Provides primary administrative staff support to the masters program, program chair and faculty. Heshe is responsible for completion of all support tasks related to the program, particularly the maintenance of all of the faculty and student files necessary for accreditation.Provides administrative coordination and support to the masters programDevelops and implements academic services procedures and systems to improve the efficiency of the graduate psychology programsOversees the program components, maintenance, and development of the academic services database.Develops procedures for the storage, maintenance and distribution of the programs instructional materials e.g. multimedia, books, etc.Conducts periodic reviews of website and other program materials to ensure that information is accurate and up-to-dateCoordinates directs program events, trainings and orientation meetings in conjunction with the teamCompletes general office duties and assigns clerical tasks to work-study studentsPlaces orders for instructional supplies and maintains record of expendituresProvides program support by responding to adjunct and student questions and requestsHelps prepare quarterly schedule and enters information into Academic Services databaseEnsures course book order, syllabi, and media requests are submitted by due dates from all instructorsCommunicates with adjunct faculty and orients new faculty on the use of e-mail, Sakai, and classroom technologyBuilds and maintains accurate files on adjunct faculty credentials, teaching preferences, contact information, instructional history, and availability for the purposes of scheduling coursesOrients new faculty on academicadministrative proceduresAssists Chair with protocols for hiring adjuncts and ensuring that materials are in placeCoordinates efforts with other Academic Services team membersAs needed, is available to assist with academic services projects in the masters program or other departmentsAssist in the maintenance and deve
Skills Required
Bachelors degree. 3 years experience in academic support or administrative experience. OR HSGED + 5 years experience in higher education. FileMaker Pro, MS Excel, MS Word
Skills Preferred
Bachelors degree preferably in psychologyMasters degree with 1+ years experience in a non-profit University setting preferred.Ellucian Datatel Colleague software highly sought.
