Responsible for planning, implementingexecuting, and documenting system engineering activities. Will work to implement and extend a common controls platform strategy among divisions. Will be actively engaging with software, hardware, test, and product development teams over the entire product life cycle to ensure that system engineering work products are planned, documented, and completed.Electronic controls and test equipment.Knowledgeable with methods that allow the insertion of controls into residential and commercial HVAC products, and be involved in requirement definitions Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, and assists in developing installation, and in some cases commissioning of new products. Capable of developing test methods and plans, and coordinate the implementation of experiments.Ability to define and follow test procedures, record data and present professional test result reports. strong troubleshooting and communication skills to work train technicians, designers, vendors and inter-operational groups such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, and customer service teams. Applicant must have the ability to express, present and clearly communicate technical information to other groups and managementSerial Communication protocols such as Modbus, familiar with message redundancy checks such as CRC, and other UART related terms.Product and component level FMEAs.Electronic controls including analog and digital circuit design, prototyping, qualifying, and commercialization planning.Interpreting and understand programming languages such as CC++ and LabVIEW. Able to develop software code concepts and rapid prototyping.Familiar with basic thermodynamic concepts.Work with electronic analysis methodologies and associated instrumentation.Work with electronics failure analysis.Create maintain a controller traceability matrix which maps controller requirements to the associated verification activities and results.
Bachelors in Engineering Electrical, Software or Mechanical and 3+ yrs exp. Serial Communication protocols such as Modbus, familiar with message redundancy checks such as CRC, and UART. Electronic controls including analog and digital circuit design.
Experience with gas appliances, boiler, water heater andor pool heater controls. Exp analyzing technical procedures. Exp cost analysis of elec controls design. Exp in design of prototypes and design concepts.
